Due to an ankle injury, all-rounder Hardik Pandya is expected to stay out for a minimum of two more months. When he attempted to block a ball from his own bowling during the league match between Bangladesh and India, he was injured. Pandya will be missing three T20Is as well as three ODIs in South Africa in addition to the next T20I series against Australia, according to The Indian Express.
The Gujarat Titans skipper stumbled and dragged his right foot across the ground as he attempted to block a drive from Bangladeshi opener Liton Das. He attempted to stand and appeared uncomfortable. Pandya was eventually ruled out from the ODI World Cup.
Pandya was instructed to bowl in the nets two weeks ago, and the strength and conditioning instructors advised him to gradually pick his speed. It was not the support staff’s intention for him to overwork his ankle.
It turned out that Pandya bowled the first three balls without encountering any difficulties. For the following delivery, he made the decision to bowl more forcefully. His leg started to hurt a little during the fourth ball. Pandya reported his right ankle soreness to the support personnel. The medical staff at NCA made the decision to do more scans.

Hardik Pandya took to twitter to pen down a message for his fans and the Indian team supporters. He said, “Tough to digest the fact that I will miss out on the remaining part of the World Cup. I’ll be with the team, in spirit, cheering them on every ball of every game. Thanks for all the wishes, the love, and the support has been incredible. This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud. Love, always, HP”.

Ahh, I think we will get a new all rounder to check then !

It’s time for India to look for another all round option, as we know hardik only play white ball format these days. For balance of a good team we need an all rounder in test cricket also .. most of the times hardik is struggling with few unwanted injuries.
